John Vergara is not your average luthier – making and playing a diverse range of instruments, including the Arabic oud, kanun, Classical/Spanish guitar, Flamenco, Cuban/Puerto Rican cuatro, tres, violin, as well as shredding on Metal/Rock guitar.

In 2013, John opened the doors to his shop – Lord of the Strings, located in the heart of Beacon, NY. Since then, he’s been helping musicians of all levels achieve their musical goals, whether through expert instrument construction, repairs, or modifications.
